1.HMT Contessa
The Hindustan contessa was manufactured by Hindustan motors (Hm) of india from 1984 to 2002 . It was one of the few indian manufactured luxurious car in market its a 4-door sedan Hindustan motor tied up with ISUZU of japan for engine.
Why HM unable to survive in market?
-> The morden cars from Gm,ford,fiat,tata are in demand because of its fuel efficient and low cost engine contessa began to wane .
2. Yamaha's RD 350 and RX 100
Rd was launched in 1983 ,its production was stopped in 1990 the last model reportedly sold in 1991.
Rx was launched in 1985, engine modification like porting ,tuning, sprockwting ,expansion chambers made this a track scroches ,by the time the rx 100 stopped production in 1996 this bike had already hit cult status.
3.premier padmini
Last seen as taxi cabs in mumbai, this was manufactured in india from 1970 to 1998 by premier automobiles hd. The little car immediately became a huge hit.

After the legalization of the economy 1991 spelt doom for this car and it could noy complete against the newer entrance in the market.

This manufactured countinoue to crank out machines to this day .A suitable bike for the police and the army .This bike has its worshipper from Kashmir to kanyakumari .

This company based in mysore brunt into the Indian scene in 1960 and have a cult following even to this day .

Owner and mechanics bonded to make modification to make race worthy and once it hit the track, the motorcycle became a force to content with, from the racing circuits in sholavaram, pune and kolkata to the really courses in the Himalayas
